Sustainability

Otera, in the Japanese language, means “Temple”. In an environmental sense, is how we make sacred covenants with our land. We commit to celebrating locally aged artisanal soy sauce from Yuen Long in our signature desserts along with other locally grown fruits.

Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding is applied to our packaging to increase box sturdiness. In addition, no ink or lamination is used in our sustainable and biodegradable packaging. Our glue is made with cornstarch and accessories are reusable.
